Reviews For The Sapphire Lounge
After a night at a concert this is the spot to unwind, have a drink and light bite to each. The staff a quick to serve and please. They make a great variety of cocktails and a good selection of drinks on tap.
This place offers a great happy hour as well as people watching! The spinach artichoke dip was great.
The Sapphire Lounge is one of the original pioneering cocktail lounges of the new era of drinking in Spokane, nestled in the front lobby of the renovated Hotel Ruby on Lincoln and First Ave. Enjoy a night of hearty camaraderie on the lush sofa benches that remind the seasoned traveler of an airport lobby of a long bygone era. In the winter, snuggle up near the ample gas fireplace; in the warmer seasons enjoy the breeze as the garage doors of the outer room open to bring the outdoors in and converts the room to a cool covered patio. A great place to people watch and enjoy light fare and a refreshing Hemingway daiquiri. If wine is more your style, do not fret–Sapphire Lounge has a great selection of Dionysus’ nectar that will please even the most fickle of oenophiles. Sapphire lounge: a great destination before or after a show at one of the many nearby venues in this beautiful Arts District, and an amazing destination unto itself. Bobb D. Spokane, WA
Just the friendliest place. As welcoming as they are sophisticated–a great place to relax while still feeling like a Cool Grownup. Possibly the nicest bartenders I’ve ever met? I’m not overly familiar with Spokane but it seems like Sapphire Lounge is within easy walking distance of basically everything, which is surely a plus. Cassandra D. Tacoma, WA
“I’ve dropped in here a few times before going to dinner. It’s a very nice modern chic atmosphere. The drinks are fantastic IMO. I remember having “the last word” cocktail here one time after I had it in an upscale bar in London the week before. I have to say they did an even better job at the Sapphire. I’m one of those cocktail junkies. Each time I go to a major city I try to find the coolest cocktail bar and see what they can produce. I wouldn’t describe myself as an expert but truly this a cute bar with great drinks.” TripAdvisor
“One of a few places in town with chic ambiance. It almost felt like I was in a posh little bar in NYC. It’s small, intimate, has very attentive bar tenders that really customize drinks to your liking, and pretty good food for not being a restaurant.“ Yelp
“Enjoyed a few hours at Sapphire Lounge the other night. Very knowledgeable and courteous staff. The mixologist behind the bar really knew his stuff; recommended some great beers and made some truly inspired cocktails. The interior design, ambiance and attention to detail really set this place apart from other nightspots in Spokane. I highly recommend it!“ Yelp
“The decor is expensive, either you love it or don’t care. But it does have some cool features, like stars that shine thru the floor, 3 d photo artwork, bubble chandler . The happy hour is really cheap but they have an amazing selection of liquor that you don’t normally see. Beer selection is special too. The thing that made it special are the bartenders that make drinks that taste amazing that you never seen before…“ Yelp – Art T., Los Angeles, CA
“I have been impressed with the progress of The Sapphire Lounge. Their prices are absolutely within norms for specialty drinks in a non-divey bar, their happy hour is amazing, and the main manager/bartender is pleasant, a good mixer, and willing to take feedback. I kind of adore this place. A classier option on the west side of downtown.“ Yelp – Krista, Columbus,OH
“My wife and I stayed at The Ruby Hotel for the night. The receptionist at the hotel suggested that we have a bite to eat at the lounge. It was closing time for the kitchen but they fired up the oven and made us one of their signature potpies with a tasty salad on the side. That was only the beginning. The food is very good (five stars) but the bar is the reason to go to Sapphire. The bar tender is beyond creative. The drink menu includes a drink called the Ken Kesey. You have to smell it and taste it to believe it. The bourbon smash is smooth. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the smash. Worth the stop if you’re passing through or just hang out there if you’re a local.“ Yelp – Karen & David, Seattle, WA
